 An understanding of English in order to follow the course.

An understanding of the importance of heritage as part of the modern tourist experience.

  • Definition of Heritage
  • Definition of Interpretation
  • Breakdown of the different elements of the Visitor Experience in a heritage site
  • Visit to Chambery Art Museum and analysis in groups of the visitor experience for different kinds of visitor e.g. children, foreigners, disabled people, seniors
  • Group presentations
  • Case studies of innovative interpretation projects from round the world e.g. USA, GB, Slovenia, Sweden
