The objective of this course is to allow students to become familiar with the concepts related to culture and know how to better recognize and approach the cultural differences they encounter in professional situations.

The extended case study  of  a  French-Chinese  project  collaboration  provides  an  opportunity  to deepen  their understanding of these two cultures through a concrete and real-life example.

Compétences acquises


  • Be able to explain and apply concepts related to culture and the cultural dimensions
  • Be able to recognize cultural differences, interpret intercultural misunderstanding, and propose some ways forward in an inquiry and mediation role


Willingness  to  participate  actively  in the course  and curiosity  about  collaboration  in  intercultural  and international environments.

  • Cultural dimensions: How do cultural differences influence the ways in which we build relationships and collaborate in international environments


  • Dealing with difference: culture  shock,  stereotypes,  cultural  adaptation, critical  incident conflict resolution technique, negotiated culture
